Zimbabwe Warriors legend Paul Gundani dies

FORMER Warriors defender Paul Gundani died in his hometown of Kwekwe on Wednesday after complaining of headache and fever.

Details of his death were still sketchy late Wednesday but the former Ziscosteel player is said to have died at a Kwekwe clinic after his condition deteriorated.

At the time of his death, he was the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe secretary general for which he was active with former Dynamos captain Desmond Masringwa who is the president.

Known for his advocacy for better working conditions for players, Gundani was also part of the Dream Team that almost qualified for the 1994 Afcon and World Cup.

Details of his funeral are yet to be announced.
